Top 5 PS4 Problems: 1) HDMI port problems. The first few models of PS4 had a huge problem with bad HDMI ports. The PS4 Slim and PS4 PRO don't have as much of a problem with it but it still does happen. 2) Turns On Then Back Off/Blue Light of Death. This is a common problem with all PS4's...even the newer models have this problem. 3) Overheating. Most consoles that have this problem either have a faulty fan or they need to be cleaned. Many times cleaning and replacing the thermal paste will fix this issue. 4) Disc Drive Problems. Many consoles have had problems with the rollers popping out of place when the disc is pulled out quickly. They also have had a lot of problems with the laser lens not reading discs. 5) Cockroaches. This is a common problem, especially with consoles from the southern US. PS4's are perfect cockroach houses. Bug infested consoles are not covered under warranty so Sony will not fix them. I Bought a PALLET of BROKEN PS4's - How Many Can I Fix? I paid $2,387 for a pallet of 22 broken PS4's. There ended up being 15 PS4 Originals, 4 PS4 Slims, and 3 PS4 Pros. I started with fixing the PS4 originals first and had amazing luck with them. I did some cleaning and removed something stuck in a disc drive but no serious problems. The Slims needed more repairs such as a glitching display, a disc drive that wouldn't accept a disc, and a broken eject button. I've Been Trying to Find One For Years! Let's Fix It! Yes, it's been literally 4 years that I've been trying to buy one of these limited edition PS4 Pro game consoles. The seller said the console powers up but won't show anything on the screen, however, when I powered it up it never went to the white light. How to disassemble the PS4 to get access to the Motherboard, Disc Drive, Hard Drive and PSU for repair, cleaning or modification. IMPORTANT NOTE: Not all phat PS4 consoles are identical and depending on the model your console might have some slight differences. Like having clips instead of screws at the back 2:46 and a locking tab for the DVD drive ribbon cable. 8:09, Or even additional screws. With those models you should push down on the tab to release the ribbon cable, as it wont come free by pulling it out as it did with mine. Have you ever wondered "Why is my PS4 LOUD?" In this video, I will show you how to clean your PS4 and fix that LOUD FAN noise you hear! This is an EASY METHOD and can be done in minutes when you have the right tools! First you will need compressed air, a philips scrw driver and a 2mm flat hear or a TORX TR9 Security Scrwdriver! for the T9 scrws on the back of the PS4. When opening up your PS4 to fix your fan noise and to CLEAN your PLAYSTATION 4, remember that this will void any warranty you have. However, this will be a non issue for most. Cleaning your PS4 fan is a breeze.... literally with compressed air, you will be able to see the dust fly from the vents surrounding the fan. No need to go out and buy a PS4 cleaning kit, you can get most of the stuff you need at Walmart or a local store. Also, try cleaning the fan before you decide to replace the fan completely. Restoring TRASHED PS4's - From Boxes of Parts to Working Consoles - I bought 2 boxes of PS4 parts on eBay for $122. After separating out the parts and doing some testing I work on repairing what I can. I'm able to clean corrosion off the motherboard, replace some parts such as a midframe and disc drive, straighten a top plate, solder on a new power button ribbon cable connector, replace a harddrive, solder on an HDMI port (including repairing some of the traces), and replace some covers. About This Video: I bought two boxes containing the parts from three PS4s. After sorting through everything and doing some testing I was able to get to work restoring the consoles. Using parts from all the consoles (plus some additional parts I had already) I was able to get two of the consoles working again!

How to fix the PS4 power supply connector...If you're watching this video that probably means you pulled on the wrong part of the connector. The power supply connector has two parts...one on the end of the power supply cable and the other on the motherboard of the console. If you've torn this connector from the motherboard of your PS4 this video shows you how to fix it. Keep in mind that to fix it correctly it will need to be soldered back onto the motherboard. Each of the 4 pins of the power supply connector need to be soldered on to the correct, correlating pin on the motherboard. Please do not attempt this repair if you do not have the skill or equipment to do so. We show you how to correctly replace the HDMI port on a PS4. This job can be done in about 20 minutes if you have the experience and tools necessary. PS4 HDMI Port Repair Tips: -Be sure that you are using a good HDMI port. Many that you buy on eBay and Amazon don't line up correctly -If the port is not hot enough it will not fall out and the circuit traces may tear off of the motherboard...still fixable but MUCH harder to repair. -Don't use a heat gun...just don't. -Soler each of the 19 pins on to the motherboard. The second one had cockroaches so I was guessing it needed a new power supply.
