Hi there everyone. I'm Terry Miles and I am resuming my 'Pub Piano Quest' here in the UK. Today, I happened upon this beautiful pub here in North Devon called 'The Kings Arms' in Winkleigh, a friendly local that happened to have a piano in it. I, of course couldn't resist and just had to go in, play some Boogie Woogie Piano and soak up the wonderful atmosphere and stay for a couple of ciders. The absolutely splendid hosts there, Faye and Rich made us all very welcome. Highly recommended if you're ever in the location. The Brighouse and Rastrick Brass Band was formed in 1881. It is based in Brighouse, in Calderdale, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom. In November 1977, the band reached number 2 in the UK Singles Chart with their recording of "The Floral Dance", where they stayed for nine weeks, only surpassed at the time by "Mull of Kintyre" (the first UK single to sell more than two million copies, and third best selling UK single of all time). It was arranged for the band by Derek Broadbent. The b-side was a version of "Girl With The Flaxen Hair", although some copies had a composition by Broadbent entitled "Bachelor Girls" as its B-side. The corresponding album, The Floral Dance, reached to Number 10 in the UK Albums Chart - 🤍 - Courtesy Wikepedia.

Finally got to see this fine tribute to PINK FLOYD! Dark Side of Pink Floyd, performed "Take It Back" from The Division Bell Album. Gotta say, this was AWESOME and the 1st time I'd heard it since seeing Floyd performing it in 1994...Brilliant. For more on Pink Floyd, one of the finest bands in musical history 🤍 The gig took place at Carnglaze Caverns and ion the Rum Store (there is a great history to this cave) See Here for more info 🤍 I'd seen a couple of Floyd tribute bands but I think I've found a band who clearly enjoy their music and who are extremely talented.
