Již v počátcích 50. let vystupoval totiž v estrádách jako komik. Jeho vystoupení mělo ustálený charakter dialogu ve scénce se svým druhem. Vytvořil typ natvrdlého chlapíka, kterému všechno dochází nezvykle dlouho, se zvláštním tázavým zpěvavým protahováním koncovek. Přiboudlost postavě nebrání v tom, aby se vyjadřovala ke všem jevům ze svého okolí, ba právě naopak, nejraději se vyjadřuje právě k věcem, kterým vůbec nerozumí. Partnery v jeho vystoupeních mu byli František Budín (v civilu zaměstnanec ČSD), Lubomír Lipský, Milan Neděla, Miloslav Šimek, Jan Borovička, ale i Karel Gott a Iva Janžurová. Od konce 60. let žil a působil v Německu, kde se seznámil se svou druhou ženou Barbel, zpěvačkou a konferenciérkou. S ní vytvořil partnerskou dvojici i na jevišti. Scénky Felixe Holzmanna patří ke zlatému fondu archivu Supraphonu. Jeho humor, založený nikoliv na akci, ale především na směšném dialogu, je ideálním dílem pro zvukový záznam. Za album 10x Felix Holzmann obdržel těsně před svou smrtí platinovou desku Supraphonu. Toto ocenění upozornilo znovu na obrovskou oblíbenost tohoto lidového komika, jehož popularita přerostla i rámec republiky.
Jedna z méně známých scének tohoto geniálního komika a možná jediná scénka, kde s ním vystupují dva oponenti současně (zde František Budín a Viktor Maurer).

November 8th We bought this Holzmann machine brand new but after some faults found on the machine and shady offering to refund us €270 (out of €950) to keep the machine we decided to return it. This is a combination machine and every time we tried to change the depth of cut or change from jointer to thicknesser the tables would go out of coplanar and thus compromise the quality and accuracy of the cut. Upon inspection and founding a shim that has no reason of being there, we suspect that the machine could have been refurbished. We still tried to find the way to adjust it for about three days but the design flaw is impossible to overcome unless a great amount of time investment.
